  • I have worked for 46 years as a safety engineer in a variety of industries, dedicating myself to the safety and health of workers. The majority of my career has been spent in Wyoming’s energy industries. I have been a manager for several companies, including in the nuclear weapons industry, and have managed very large budgets.
  • My work experience has given me considerable experience and skill in solving complex problems and achieving win-win solutions for those problems. These skills and knowledge are put to use in addressing Wyoming's complex budget issues. That is how the budget has been balanced without raising your taxes.

  • I served as the president of the Board of Directors of the Wyoming-Montana Safety Council for seven years and served on the Board of Directors for 15 years. I participated in the Wyoming Governor’s Workplace Fatality Prevention Task Force and was a major contributor in the work of the Oil & Gas Safety Subcommittee. I was instrumental in helping form the Wyoming Oil & Gas Industry Safety Alliance. I have been a guest speaker on leadership at various conferences, including at the national level.
